Basic information and documents

The professional examination is intended for people who provide or wish to provide financial intermediation or financial advisory services and who must meet the requirements for the intermediate, higher or highest level of professional competence under Act No. 186/2009 Z. z. A professional examination is not required for the basic level of professional competence.

When must the examination be taken?
The professional examination must be passed before starting the activity subject to the statutory requirement, or before the relevant authorisation or registration procedure.

How often must the examination be repeated?
The professional examination must be passed at least every 4 years at the relevant level of professional competence and in the relevant financial market sector.

Where can I take the examination?
AOCP organises professional examinations for the intermediate and higher levels of professional competence in all financial market sectors, both in person and remotely.

Examinations for the highest level are provided by Národná banka Slovenska.
