Professional examinations

1.Do I need both a professional examination and OFV?

To meet professional competence requirements, both a passed professional examination and completed special financial education (OFV) are required from the intermediate level onwards. OFV alone is sufficient for the basic level. The professional examination is repeated at four-year intervals and OFV is completed every 12 months. Both requirements must be met before starting the activity, i.e. before entry in the register of agents, and must continue to be met throughout registration.

2.How do I register for a professional examination?

Select a suitable date in the list of dates and the system will show currently available slots for that day. Click Register to open the registration form, select the required sectors and examination level and enter the other details needed for registration. After submitting your registration, follow the payment and organisational instructions you receive.

3.Can I take several sectors on the same date?

Yes. You can select several sectors for the same date when registering. Tests are taken in sequence, with a separate time limit for each sector (25min per test).

4.How much does the professional examination cost?

The professional examination fee is currently 50 € per sector for both the intermediate and higher levels of professional competence. The fee is set by Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) and is the same for all participants. If you register for several sectors, the fee is charged separately for each sector.

5.Can I move / cancel my examination date?

Yes, you can move or cancel your professional examination directly in your client card no later than 1 day before it takes place. Moving or cancelling is no longer possible on the examination day.

6.How do I request moving / cancelling my examination?

You can move or cancel the professional examination directly in your client card no later than 1 day before it takes place. For your current registration, select “Move” and choose a new available date, or select “Cancel” if you do not wish to attend. 7.How does a remote examination work and what do I need?

For a remote professional examination, prepare a computer with a working camera, microphone and stable internet connection, as well as a mobile phone with the Zoom app installed. Before the examination, we recommend watching the video guide or reading the illustrated guide, which provide detailed connection instructions and all the important information needed to take the examination successfully.

8.What if I cannot connect to the remote examination?

First check your internet connection and camera and microphone permissions. Also make sure you confirmed joining the video call by clicking “Join” in Zoom. If you still cannot connect, contact the examiner at the telephone number in the email containing your Zoom login details.

9.When will I learn my examination result?

After passing the examination, you will receive a certificate according to AOCP procedures. You can also download it at any time from the client card, accessible at www.aocp.sk in the Client card section
